volume one of Full Metal Panic. Not because of the anime, because it is good, but because I paid 80 dollars for four episodes. and got a big t-shirt that has a very small picture that says full metal panic on the front.

Also the first anime I ever bought.

I can sympathize...it was a while before I could figure out when I was getting ripped off or not.

Kiddy Grade i thought it was going to get better as it moved along. only had a couple actual good eps. the promo video in the extras of disc 1 made the series look really interesting. sadly none of those scenes appeared in the actual anime.

Rahxephon the movie. the series was great but the movie borrowed too many things from the series. i was expecting all new animation.

the first Vampire Hunter D movie sucked. i couldnt believe i payed full price for it when it eventually went on sale for $9. what a rip off.

Escaflowne was an all right series. i was expecting more out of it though. im glad i asked for it for christmas and not actualy bought it myself.

I was also expecting more out of Witch Hunter Robin. there was a few good episodes of that as well. another one im glad i didnt have to buy myself.

I bought Infinite Ryvious for 150 and Black Heaven for 100, both the series were nice but not something I'd like to keep. Paid 150 more then I needed to. Other then that, Blue Gender the Warrier was a disappointment, talk about reused footage and rushed story.

The only one that I can say I regretted purchasing, just a bit, was Key the Metal Idol--I was expecting some dramatic story about a robot who tries to sing and become a real girl, not a story about a robot who sits around and does almost nothing while other people find excuses to blow stuff up and get into tremendously violent fights (some of which, I'll admit, are kind of cool) all around her. And that second to last episode--I know anime is made on a budget, and sometimes the animators have to take shortcuts, but I can't forgive a 20+ minute scene where two characters just sit and talk, all with stillframe shots, not even mouth movements.

I regret purchasing a bootleg of Angelic Layer, but that's because it was a bootleg of terrible quality--I love the show itself, but I suppose I deserved what I got. There might be a few other shows I regret or will regret, but if I didn't get them legally, I can't complain.
