On Dragonball Z, i was watching the episode where Piccolo sacrifices himself to save Gohan, his body dissappears but Goku went over and checked his pulse, now is there some difference between the to dubbed or is something just messed up?

CN is actually airing the uncut versions of the episodes now since the old version of the dub was censored.

Sorry, as a fan, I know DBZ is a kids show, even in Japan. Compare it to other animes you've seen recently and tell me that it's not a kids show compared to.. Elfen Lied..

I've seen Elfen Lied which btw isn't one of the worst series on blood and content out there after how eveyrone talked about it I was surprised to find out how little it had compared to other anime just because it has hentai suggestions and a bit of blood big deal.
Dbz is not a kids show the only anime kids show is Hamtaro and that stupid mini gundam bullshit.None of the shows are that repetitive.Just because a series doesn't have alot of blood doesn't mean its a kid show niether does if it doesn't have a plot an ending that takes you forever to figure out or hentai content.
Dbz and Yugioh plots are the same as all other anime thay just didn't take a bunch of loops and turns in diffrent episodes to keep you guessing they got to the point.also this topic should be locked and why it hasn't is a mystery since almsot all the posts are off topic including mine that dudes got his anwser lock this shit we don't need a another I hate this anime because of this thread there fucking useless and piss me off.

Last time i checked, the age group that a large amount of anime (including DBZ, Yugioh, naruto, etc.) is marketed towards in Japan is 10 to 12 year old boys. Also, last time i checked 10 to 12 yeard old boys were classified as kids.

the original 26 episodes have *nothing* to do with card playing whatsoever.

they're super violent (in the manga at least) and kids get ruthlessly killed right and left. some of the deaths include;

bitten in half by crocodile
killed by dynamite
knocked off three story building to death
face permanently smashed in
soul stolen and trapped in a jar
rendered blind
rendered psychotic
experienced the feeling of death 100's of times over
rendered deaf
set on fire with massive amounts of alcohol

First off, any1 who spellz like dis u ppl is obviosly a vid. Secondly, blood and violence dont make adult viewing. They make adults reliving and enjoying what would have bein a rare and earthly delight as a kid. If something is "adult" it contains themes projected in a more realistic manner. Alternatively, as the case with shows such as Boogiepop Phanton and SE: Lain, they use a fantasy theme to project thoughts and idea's which can be related with the real world. The reason they're not kids shows is because they requir a higher level of thought, and a greater amount of experience in life to understand and enjoy to thier fullest.
