What a contest! Congratulations to all the winners! I'm really glad Waka made it in - I thought it defined the concept of an Upbeat video. (There was some discussion about that at the first AMV panel - what is Upbeat? Thank goodness there's an upbeat category!)

I'm glad somebody liked it. Wish I could've gone to the Con itself, but finances wouldn't permit it. I'm planning on next year, come hell or high water, though.

Congrulations to all the winners ^_^ It's nice to see a shoujo-ai video win Romance, even if it was miscategorized... dunno about all that (didn't see the contest, sadly.) It was nice meeting all the creators! I was stuck at the table all in the way at the end at the dinner, but I was in the incredibly large blue dress and purple wig as Rose Bride Kozue (crossing over into other forms of fandom, ooooo, aaaaa) so, if you didn't get a chance to say hi, at least you can match a name to a face! Hope everyone had a lot of fun at the convention ^_^

I gotta say this, just my point of view, please don't anyone take offense. IMHO, I didn't think Roses are Red was necessarily miscategorized. I know people were laughing because it was unexpected to see a romance video between Rei and Usagi, but the concept of a shoujo ai video as a romance video shouldn't be discounted. In this, I agree with Fungie. I also think it would be cool to see more shoujo ai and shounen ai videos in Romance categories. It would be a nice change from the current predominant trend in romance videos.

Of course, I couldn't help laughing at Usagi with a male voice, so I have shot my own credibility in the foot.
