1. BAD action sync. Nothing worse (to me, this is subjective) than things that go way too slow for the music. It's bad having it go too fast too, but I'd prefer that over lingering clip after lingering clip. General rule, there must be an average of one clip per second (or more, more is better ^^), no matter how slow the song (some of those can be in layers and stuff). ><

2. Lip flapping.

3. Unintentional subtitles.

4. People so arrogant as to think "I don't need to lyric sync this vid because it's a song in another language! And of couse no one who speaks anything but English watches these!"

5. No lyric sync at all.

6. Clip fragments (that one frame left on from the last clip at the beginning of new one).

7. Cheesy transitions (especially in drama vids).

8. Really pixellated cut and paste charatcer into another scene effects.[/i]

Biggest one for me is subtitles and anything else that's on the screen besides the anime; like the Adult Swim Logo and such. If I see these then it's like a big ugly blotch that distracts my eyes from the actual video.

Poor video quality is another one. I like videos that are crisp and clean.

long synopsis'. IF I WANT TO KNOW I'LL FIGURE IT OUT MYSELF! Well some say if you don't want to see it, don't read it. Well EXCUSE me, if their's text there I'm likeley to involuntarily skim through it at the very least, sometimes it's so boring I just want to rip my eyes out! Some synopsis' are SO long as well that it would take you awhile even if you could skip it! My take is it's a waste of space between you and your download. ESPECIALLY the 'Please don't review this'- hehe, yeah rite.

Music misattribution is mine too. Because that makes it fairly obvious that they not only didn't buy their audio, but they didn't even bother to spend five seconds on Google to check themselves. Blatantly wrong song titles ("In the Afterlife" for "Hell," "She Moves in Mysterious Ways" for "Mysterious Ways") are part of that too. It really doesn't say good things about you-the-editor.

Long bumpers before the video are a minor one. Anything more than 10 seconds, usually. I don't care who you are. I want to see the video. Your ego will recover, trust me.

People who take this shit way to seriously. The types of people who make 10 different fake account to give out ops to raise/lower their favorite AMV on the top 10% scale. The ones who seem to think 'I won best of show in a contest that only had 5 entries so I'm an AMV god'. The ones who get bitchy if you give them anything lower than an 8. The ones who seem to get personally offended if the 'wrong' video wins a contest. The ones who seem to think that because they spent 100+ hours on their video then everyone should. Also the ones who think it's somehow shameful to take 100+ hours to make a video. It's a hobby guys, we all enjoy it in our own way, fucking relax a little.

2x big dawg.

ppl who rate videos down because its a song or genre they dont like. Hip hop gets blasted for this a lot. Almost no vid should get a 1 in sound, unless its that bad, because choice of song and sound quality are 2 different things...
Oh god, that black dude with the afro is always making those damn trash ass music hip hop amvs...he needs to do something with techno or rock....
.......as if I would do something like that.

One of those things which always bugged me...not as major as some of these, but still an annoyance...

People using a song without getting the point of it...
...I've lost count of the number of vids I've seen employ Styx's Mr. Roboto with just about any sort of mecha anime without even realizing the actual 'Kilroy Was Here' story the song is working with...

x2

Oh my God I can't believe I forgot that one!

I mean, seriously, HOW many more vids to I have to see of random action to Tourniquet or Breaking the Habit (aside from their overuse, just the abuse of the meaning is enough!) before I scream. ><
