Feedback on cataloged Anime Music Videos

Forum rules
Please observe the following unique rules for this forum:
  • Please limit your new threads (not replies) to one per week. If you have several new videos to announce, create one thread for all the videos. (Note: if you forget one you can edit your post!)
  • Offsite links are allowed, but you are required to have a catalog entry for that video as well. Threads announcing videos that do not contain a catalog entry will be moved to the Awaiting Catalog Entry sub-forum and will be deleted in 2 weeks if an entry is not created.
  • When posting announcements, it is recommended that you include links to the catalog entries (using the video ID) in your post.
  • Videos that do not contain anime are allowed to be announced in the Other Videos section and are not required to have catalog entries.

I've Dled Zest's, Kwaichang's and yours.

Kwaichang - I'm damn well impressed how the simple editing can still be so good. Solid syncing and nice utilization of the beats

Zest - Knives is right, the Chrno intro 4tw.

JCD - liked the Battle athletes and ready steady go thing you had going there. Cool theme.

Dling LCY's and DK's vids atm.

Whew... well I just watched all of them except for Decoy's (it had scryed spoilers)... and I must say that effects usage has really been stepped up a level since the last iron chef... I don't remember so many effects being used before! :o

Anyway...

Zest - I'd have to say yours had the best use of effects... but it kind of detracted me from being immersed in any story. No matter, I liked the feel it had.

KwaiChang - Nice use of action sequences and cg art from GitS... although I would have liked for more literal beat sync, the way this one flowed was nice.

JCD - this one has good reviewability... although you were right, since some parts needed some better fine tuning.

DK - It's really hard for me to understand what's going on in this video, especially since I haven't seen any OP films. If things were a bit more consistant story-wise I might have been more immersed... but the song did seem pro-action sync, so I won't push my luck. :wink:

LCY - There's some frame blend in some scenes that I don't like... but I liked this one's flashiness a lot (the RahXephon x Evangelion parts were funny). It reminded me a lot of Intro City!

So great job everybody, and sorry Decoy, when I finish scryed I'll watch it. :x
