So, this is a little game called "Six Ways to Stephen Blum." It works exactly like Six Ways to Kevin Bacon, but with Anime
![Very Happy :D](./images/smilies/icon_biggrin.gif)
For those of you unfamiliar with Six Ways, it works like such:
One person says a name of an anime/cartoon director, producer, voice actor, etc. - say, Gary Chalk. Someone else then finds a way to relate that person to Stephen Blum in six ways or less:
"Gary Chalk played Man-At-Arms in Masters of the Universe with Cam Clarke as Prince Adam, who played Jack Archer in Robotech: Battlecry with Tony Oliver as Rick Hunter, who also played Rick in Robotech with George C. Cole as Zor Prime, who played Vicious in Cowboy Bebop which starred Stephen Jay Blum as Spike Speigel."
Basic Q&A Forum rules apply:
So, to get things rolling, here's the first one:The Rules:
Keaton's Basic Ground Rule:
You must answer the current question correctly in order to ask a question. (5/17/03)
Keaton's Traffic Streamlining Rule:
If you are 100% certain that your answer is correct, you can ask a question right away instead of waiting for confirmation. (5/19/03)
Keaton's Necropost-Immunity Traffic-Uppage Rule:
After at least two days of no new questions or answers, anyone can restart the thread by asking a new question. There is no such thing, then, as necroposting on the trivia thread. (5/21/03)
dwchang's Implementation of the Rule of Alternates [one way of handling alternate questions]:
A particularly tough question is taken back in favor of an easier one once ten wrong answers have been received. (5/27/03)
Rule of skanks' Suffering:
When people break Keaton's Basic Ground Rule and attract traffic rather than follow-the-rules posts, the thread will tend to determine the line of succession by who answers what questions, rather than by rule as delineated earlier. (~5/29/03)
skanks' Rule of Resignation:
If for some reasons someone doesn't want to ask a question, they can pass it off to whoever they want to. (6/9/03)
Kai's "THIS JOB IS TOO HARD!" Rule:
Questions that are not answered correctly within 24 hours of their posting are replaced by the poster who asked them. (7/10/03, codifying a tradition begun by EarthCurrent the week before)
EarthCurrent's Rule of Inevitability:
Nobody can ever REALLY stay retired from the trivia thread. (7/14-15/03)
youkokitsune106's Rule of Teh Google:
Prior knowledge should be used to answer questions in the trivia thread; the internet is a last resort. (7/18/03)
EarthCurrent's Anti-YYH-Ping-Pong Rule [simplified]:
You cannot ask a question about the anime that the question you answered was about, or about the same anime that you asked your last question about, if you've asked a question before. (7/27/03)
Please repost these rules and any additions that develop every ~50-60 pages, and update the stats if you feel like it.
In six ways or less, relate this person to Stephen Jay Blum: Akira Toriyama.
