Fynjy's Noise is a lovely example of this.

As for my personal pet peeves...I'll think about it.

Subtitles and station identifications logos in the corner of the video.

That and scenes that never seem to cut away, it really bugs me because then I stop paying attention to teh video's flow and keep thinking "When are they going to cut away?"

I am ashamed to admit that I was once guilty of that (though not completely devoid of comments on editing). But now that I know how stupid it is to base the quality of your video by your anime/song selection, it's probably my #1 pet peeve now.

It's one thing to base originality compared to other ideas....but not based on how many vids use the same song/anime. You can't put a cap on the number of Naruto/DBZ/NGE videos that are allowed to exist. If you want to see different scenes other then the ones that you see in all the videos, watch the actual anime. Usually really good scenes in the show make it to the AMVs and I don't think an editor would ever want to insert a less effective clip where a more effective (and popular) clip would go just for the sake of using a clip no one uses. There is usually a reason why no one uses them...

That and e-mails that say:

Hey, you should make vids to these songs: (insert list of 50+ songs).

I get pissed when people make "fake" videos(videos where the same scene is repeated for like 3 minutes) and I'm tricked into download the son of a bitch. For revenge, I shall make one of these vids just o try and piss people off. Goten and Trunks pissing on the wall to "Can't Touch This" sounds nice..

Unimagintive titles are a little annoying. I'm tired of seeing titles like "Sasuke's Reason", "Goku's Just a Kid", and "Who Let Inuyasha Out?". A lot of the time, I don't even think about downloading a video with a boring title. The way I see it, if someone doesn't care enough to come up with an interesting title, they probably don't put much effort into their videos. Granted, there are some great videos with crappy titles, but there aren't enough of them to change my opinion.

Well actually I have done a number of almost purely cross fade or just 'cut' edited videos...

I do enjoy the random review that says:

... watermarks are the AWESOME. Subs bug me too...

The cut away issue definitely is a problem... although I would have to say my expectations are generally too high... so it might be unfair for me to say "learn how to pace" and claim it is a pet peeve...

I am fair about this one. I equally avoid watching everyone's videos.
