Post by humanoid » Sat Aug 27, 2005 6:37 pm

not many people seem to care about DBZ, if your someone who likes to use it in your videos, not many people like the video as a whole, whats that about? why cant people just complement the effort

I 'liked' db, dbz (not dbgt though) as a whole, but you can only watch it so many times untill you just go 'sigh' hurry it up already... I still enjoy watching it now and then but seriously, you go through a phase where your like woot dbz lets watch and you dont care the whole episode is switching from someone talking to someone powering up.. When you realise thats what most of the series is you will begin to appreciate other anime.

Yeah, I used to really like DB/DBZ.. Until I really watched much of it... That was like a year ago.. Anyway, I got kinda sick of DBZ and started to watch other animes, that's when I realized there were different and good stuff out there... However, that doesn't mean I hate DB/DBZ, since I still enjoy watching some eps. on TV once in a while.. I mean, It was my first anime... It may not be my favorite, but I'll always like it...

Its all well and good to state facts, but would you mind answering why you "hate it", might as well keep this on topic.

I find it hilarious when someone with the avatar & name referencing another huge mass-market anime with a ridiculous US fanbase goes and says crap about another anime with the exact same situation.

I love DBZ. I have for 10 years. Nothing I've watched since then has even come close to bringing out the same feelings of anxiety, sadness, joy, and delight from watching my favorite characters grow up, suffer their ordeals, have their own families, etc. And I doubt any other show ever will.

I share no real like for DBZ or Inuyasha these days. I will say this though, DBZ was a lot more enjoyable as a whole then Inuyasha. Inuyasha became a spinning ball of repetative shit way to quickly. It really sucks what happened to that show when it truly did have some potential. DBZ on the other hand, while it was drug out in multiple areas and got somewhat repetative, it did infact have a story. Yes the story was very dull and didnt have much substance to it, but atleast it whent SOMEWHERE. I always chuckle when Inu fans make fun of DBZ, seems like they are just joining the crowd :/

I would also like to add this though. There are only a handful of true DBZ fans. And i say true because there are only a few people who still hold their ground for DBZ after watching other shows that (in my opinion anyway) are incredibly better written and carried out. The truth is, the majority of DBZ fans is made up of people who watch it on CN and have no other exposure to anime. But I'm starting to get off topic...
