What?? I hate you... I hadn't even watched this anime :x
To be fair, the thread title and first post or two should have been a hint.
Yeah, but what about the Spoiler Courtesy? :|
I thought that only applied to things that actually happen in the anime. :?:

But what was wrong with the thread title and first post or two? They look totally fine to me.

(many years ago I did hear things about a 95th episode of RK from friends who claimed to have seen it, but I hadn't seen any of the series at that point, so I don't remember the details)

Nothing wrong with the title; SR was just saying that the fact that the title mentions the ending, spoilers are implied. Regarding the 95th episode, it is on the last DVD in the series, so I'm not sure what all this talk about only 94 episodes is... :?

That sucks. If there really is more to the story, I want to see it. Why would it be taken off??! It's not fair... :?

Hmmm, this thread is kind of misleading, or atleast to me. I always consider the true ending of an anime to be where the manga ended - in this case at the end of the Kyoto arc with Shishio. I choose not to include the numerous episodes of crap that followed nor the OAV that raped everything the original story stood for.

If that's the real RK ending, why isn't it on my DVD(the last DVD released for the Rurouni Kenshin series)? :|

SPOILER (a bit, I tryed to avoid spoiling anything cool)

The real manga ending happens after the Enishi storyline which was butchered into the Reflections OVA. The real Enishi storyline is badass. Too bad it never got animated. :(

Basic plot: After the Shishio arc, the Akabeko restaurant is destroyed with a note left challenging Kenshin. Then the whole flashback to Kenshin's past happens (which is the Trust and Betrayal OVA) after which Kenshin and company go whoop Enishi and company's butts. Like I said, basic plot.

There are a couple of manga after the Enishi arc. One is just the 'final' Kenshin manga where it shows the fates of all the characters and Kenji, Kenshin and Kaoru's kid being about as mean to Kenshin as the pictures above describe. Apparently he loves his mon, and hates Kenshin. Yahiko becomes the new holder of the reverse-bladed sword, though he uses it with the Kamiya Kesshin Ryu style rather than learning Hiten Mitsurugi Ryu (as Kenshin is unable to teach it to him, given some of the events of the Enishi storyline that I refuse to spoil). There is a 'final final' Kenshin manga that shows a older Yahiko saving the life of a kidnapped girl with the reverse-bladed sword. That's all I've read, at least.
Life's short.
eBayhard.

[SPOILER ALERT, SPOILER ALERT]

It's an episode where Kenshin and Kaoru have to spend the night at some strangers house because a thunderstorm came out of nowhere and they basically really do seem like a couple in the episode. Walk on the beach and all that crap. The episode finishes with Kenshin and Kaoru coming home on a boat and all their friends are waiting for them on some bridge. I guess you can say it was a real pretty/cute episode. It's not the greatest ending, but meh. Oh yeah, the animation and color were superb on it, in my opinion.

[/END SPOILER ALERT]

Was that a spoiler? :/

It goes up to 94. If anyone tells you a higher number than that, it's bullshit.
