Adobe Premier

Post by Mune » Wed Aug 31, 2005 2:20 pm

I can only buy Elements with or without photoshop elements in this city. My question is there any hardware requirements that don't come with the package that should cause problems or I need?

Plus, is elements really as good as Windows Movie Maker or Pinnacle Studio w/ DC-80?

It's not an add-on package. Premiere Elements and Photoshop Elements are stripped-down, cheaper versions of Premiere and Photoshop.

Oh, I guess you're right. Someone at work told me it was like an add on pack. I've never heard of anyone using them though.

I use elements becuase Im poor.
Its a hell of alot better than windows movie maker, I don't know about the other one. And there alot more you can do if you also get photoshop elements.

Adobe Premiere Elements may not run correctly on a system that doesn't meet the following requirements:

-- Intel Pentium III 800 MHz or AMD Athlon XP

-- Microsoft Windows XP (Home, Pro, Media Center) running Service Pack 1

-- 256 MB of RAM (I would suggest a fair amount more though)

-- 1.2 GB of available hard disk space for installation

-- CD-ROM drive (compatible DVD burner required for Export to DVD)

-- 1024 x 768, 16 bit (XGA) display

-- Microsoft DirectX 9 compatible sound and display drivers

I used elements for an experiment and in my honest oppinon, buy magix. for the price of elements and it's limitations, magix is far superior and it's cheaper. elements is good if you want to use premiere later on, but i think your better off just saving you money and getting premiere if you really want to use it.

Yeah I agree with what waffle said. If you want to use premier later on your better of saving your money and buying vegas.
