"Two big names in the Hollywood film industry, Hans Zimmer and Mark Mancina, sign for the forthcoming Blood+ TV series music score. Hans Zimmer wrote the music for Gladiator, The Last Samurai, Black Rain, Batman Begins and The Thin Red Line. Mark Mancina composed the scores for action movies such as Speed, Con Air, Twister and the Academy winner Training Day.

Blood+ opening song will be performed by Hitomi Takahashi, a talented 16 year old singer who topped the Japanese music charts with the opening song for Gundam Seed Destiny."

I didn't expect to see this happen. The music for the original Blood: TLV film was pretty good, and did sound very Media Venture-ish, I guess they decided to pull in the real deal.

No one finds this interesting news that the guys between the musical scores for Gladiator, Twister, Training Day, Black Hawk Down, etc and doing music for an anime?

I loved the score from Gladiator, so this should prove interesting, even if only from an auditory perspective.

I am forseeing this getting licensed by Bandai and Manga Entertainment (similar to Ghost in the Shell:SAC), and being broadcasted on Adult Swim in a few years.
