And they need at LEAST one sign of intimacy to make it a serious relationship...
[God damn, 3 seasons in and not even a PECK on the cheek?]
Some simple lip contact, [on screen, not censored due to zooming out or something] would make me like these characters more, but for the love of God, a lovely relationship shouldn't need 30+ episodes to finally set in... sheesh....
Of all the anime I've ever seen, Please Teacher is still probably the only one where a relationship was acquired in a reasonable set of time coupled with the inevitable kiss...
COME ON FMP, I KNOW YOU CAN DO THIS! IT'S NOT HARD!!! THIS FAR IN, ANYONE CAN SEE THAT THOSE 2 LOVEBIRDS DESERVE SOMETHING NICE!!!

A romance with them in the first series would be very un-needed, because of all the ups and downs they go through. A romance couldn't be placed anywhere in Fumoffu not just because of lack of time, but more so that Fumoffu was based around the comedy aspect of the orginal story.
With "The Second Raid", they seem to be taking the very serious aspect of the orginal story. Altho I still don't see much more "on screen relationship" building between them, there will more then likely drop some big hints to let imaginations run wild and start gossiping.

Whilst I also would like some "action" between them I don't think it's going too slow. It's only been 6 months after all and it's not like the show really revolves around the romance.
Plus, it makes sense when you think about the characters. Sousake saying "Let's hold hands." would be a massive step for him for example.

Just remember back to the first season when Shinji let Sousuke try his date simulator, he bombed it horribly, which was a pretty funny momment

That is true. Sagara is no ordinary guy but Chidori isn't either. However I think they did have some kind of romantic time (even though Sagara might not have known it at the time.) I can't rememeber if it was in Fumoffu or season 1 but when they
Yes it is not the most obvious romantic stuff in the world but it is definately something you don't do with some casual friend. If Sagara didn't care he wouldn't have allowed for that kind of interaction to happen either. This situation reminds me of that Scully/Mulder interaction back in X-Files. We waited years to see them
It's that kind of love that will probably be expected here due to the circumstances. Granted seeing some pictures from the manga would suggest that they got a little bit closer to the romantic goal but I haven't read them so I can't say for sure.
came back from that haunted house and Sagara was riding Chidori back home on the bike she asked him if he was worried when she looked hurt. He said lowly that he was and she kind of hugged the crap out of his back to the point where he couldn't drive his bike straight. Then there was the time when she had that date. At the end while he in the Bonta-kun costume and her on the bench she might have held his little paw. (I got the pic in manga form but I can't remember whether she actually did that in the show.) Of course you have some of those embraces when he rescues her and she gets all blushy. Maybe those don't count. Finally the scene in the hallway where Sagara comes back from that battle where all his comrades died. He sat next to Chidori and leans against him.

attempt let alone kiss each other. While frustrating, they had a lot of moments where they embraced, gave each other those kind of "looks," hugged, held a hand, lean on each other, hell save the other person's life tpye of thing.

I think you've just pointed out that Chidori has had feelings, and possibly wanted something to happen between them, which has been kinda obvious. But, Sousuke has still been unsure of himself in those situations, so more then likely, alot of what has happend that he has "allowed" were just events where he didn't know how to react, so the event just continued to happen.

I'd have to disagree there. If he didn't have any feelings for her his military mode would have told him not to be involved and not allow her to do those things. They train people to not get attatched and to do their job. I will say his problem is how does he act out the feelings that are going through his head. This is why you get him being ackward when those things happend.

Which is pretty much the exact same thing I just said.lilgumba wrote:I'd have to disagree there. Take the hijacking for example, when sousuke goes to save chidori, he knows his orders, but then becomes unsure about actually going to get her. He even takes a few seconds to remind himself that he shouldn't get her right then "Only an amature would go now", but then the gun shots go off which make him forget what he's suppose to do, and just runs in.
