Its like Charcoal and Pencil, just a medium.
Well, no, it's not. There are significant techical issues involved. Since Adobe has abandoned the Mac as their program of choice, Premiere Pro is Windows-only.

Also, those neat progs, like AVISynth, VDubMod, and more are (at current) Windows-only, although AVS may see a Linux port.

Mac editing also encourages QuickTime, which is a pain on any OS but Mac - a not insignificant downside.

I personally hated editing with Final Cut Pro when I used it in school last semester. Maybe it's just because I'm used to using Premiere 6.5, but FCP was much more cumbersome, IMO. The interface and some of the other little things very much put me in the mindset of Magix though. Not to mention that I hate the mice that comes with those things. Thankfully, the USB optical mouse that I've got works just fine when I use it with my mom's iBook.

I've used a Mac for everything I've done. The reason Final Cut Pro is used more in the professional world is that it is pretty damned great when cutting a feature project, whether it be pure HD or a 35mm for which you'll need an EDL. It is simply more flexible and has better options for the professional world.

You couldn't pay me to edit on one.

Well unless it was more than San Fransisco minimum wage.

Technically speaking, editing should be better in a Mac and *should* yield better results comparing it to a PC with similar specs. The reason for this, if I recall my "Mac 101" is in the bus size which is better in a Mac (a PC has been made to be much more general purpose), and number crunching is in the process better. Video editing and encoding, essentially is a number crunching exercise, and apparently Macs are just better in this regard (think G5).

Well, that's my input to the argument, but as to whether the AMVs coming out of Macs are better, I wouldn't know Jack Schitt. People already said it, it's all in the creators imaginative invention that you can make comparisons on.

Yes.

Apple users make better AMVs, because they think different (tm). Windows users are still stuck wondering just where do they want to go today.

In any case, I think you missed the joke. Go watch some ads.

I'm not with AOL, I dont like in that country, there are other places on this big blue planet apart from America...
Im with optusnet not like that matters since I dont think you would have heard of them. And I stick by what I said, most of us dont have a choice, either one where not learned enough to be able to use it or two there are other matters out of our hands that wont let allow us to take that step further.
But you know whatever, not like my opinion matters to you.
