In some cases, months. And your signature is too big: forum rules restrict sigbars to a maximum height of 40 pixels.

I don't think it's the how part you're getting really.

It's the what...

Knowing how to move around in premiere or whatever program you have is NOT what the guides are for. That's what the help function [if u stole your program] or your instruction manual is for.

To actually do clean footage and clean music for your video. THAT'S what the guides here on the org are for. These guides won't save you from bad amvs. [hell, look at my first 4 lol] but they can help you clean up your footage [my recent works...]

to become a 'good' editor is all subjective to the opinions and thoughts of others. Unless you're perfect and can get an opinion from every being in existence... [glares at koop...]
"Strength lies in action. Let the weak react to me..." - Kamahl, Pit Fighter from Magic: the Gathering
"That is a mistake many of my enemies make. They think before they act. I act before I think!" - Vortigern from Merlin ('98)
"I AM REBORN!" - Dark Schneider Bastard!! OAV

I'm soo glad im gonna be using premiere in college because, I use vegas, and I tryed to just make a cut of a video, and couldnt even fuckin do that. Premiere is wayyyyyyyyyy tooo fuckin confusing. lol I'm looking at the program talking about some "Which way is up? >.> <.<"

I mean I'm still gonna try to learn it and all but got damn. I'll stick with my vegas for the time being.
Oh god, that black dude with the afro is always making those damn trash ass music hip hop amvs...he needs to do something with techno or rock....

Premiere and Vegas are not all that different you know. They do essentialy the same things, but use slightly different commands. It's kind of like when you borrow a friends car, and the shifter is a different place. It feels weird, but still works.
Build a man a fire, and he will be warm for a night. Set a man on fire, and he will be warm for the rest of his life.

it should make more sense that way.

phades was the one i read...i guess what i was looking for was what i needed to make them. all it said was how to make them. first i think i need to know what i need to make them, you know what i mean?
Most people start with Movie Maker because it is really user friendly.

I started with Movie Maker then moved to the little more difficult Ulead Video Studio, Now I'm using the advanced Media Studio. (though $500 for the damn program)

If I were starting I'd use Movie Maker just to get the theory of vidding. Then, I'd move to more advanced ones.

And to you new vidders, spend more than 3 hours making your vids. It takes me weeks and dozens of revisions to get my vids done and there still not perfect.
