There already is a time limit of 15 minutes stated in the rules.

You may submit only one video. The total running time of your entry may not exceed 15 minutes. VERY rarely, exception may be made for longer videos.
It says that the editor should contact gte106k@mail.gatech.edu to "discuss." I assume that means that this discussion occurred before the 26 minute video was included in the voting process? I hope so, anyway. It's kind of a little late now to determine whether an exception will be made or not.

Now that voting is over with i can speak on such maters (yes it's my video) the overall goal of my video style has been to try to do videos that work on multible levels (among the many goals). So i am very happy to hear that like art, down with the sickenss worked so many different ways on so many different people. I was rather hoping to get the comedy nomination along with sick and twisted but i'm nt complaning about getting horror, it's nice to at least be nominated.

Natrually id like to win something but that's allways been the nice little bonus id like to get but probubly won't As things stand thank you for the reactions, and your welcome for the Cutos.

Just because you put excessive blood in a video doesn't automatically make it a horror.

Touche!
Then what the hell kind of video is it already?

I mean, "Adult" has a "hentai" connotation to it.... and personally I didn't find the video funny at all, nor did I think the video was intended to be funny.

This is the beauty of AWA Pro... you get these videos that don't fit neatly into a predetermined category.....

I dunno how my video got into the finals at all 0_o.

I thought Drama was a pretty darn tough category this year in most contests (Otakon, AWA, etc.).

Also thought everyone woulda skipped it once they heard Avril Lavigne's voice ^_^; .

It must've been a fluke. I demand a recount! ZOMGWTFOTAKONMEMORIES. 8-)

Can I just make a suggestion though that in the future to be a bit more strict on granting exceptions? I mean it is one thing if a rule is broken by a slight margin but the entire duration of one video was longer than episodes of the shows we watch. The end credits alone were longer than many videos. It makes it very difficult to watch and many simply fast forwarded after a certain point. Finishing any one video should not be a chore.

As far as Avril Lavigne being a quick turnoff, the point was the editing and concept were fairly well executed which is the point of pro. It would be kinda sad otherwise. And you weren't the only other one who either used horribly overkilled music or footage.

I was the Final Fantasy VIII video. The entire point of it was simply to take a dead horse and beat it until it at least resembled something a bit different.

I figure I don't have to state which video is mine as mostly everyone figured it out anyway.
