I can't say for sure one way or the other, since I was mainly looking for what happened in the anime version. Of course, if someone else who's seen the manga posts and verifies that's what happened in the manga version, you can take it. If not, question's still open.

Do you mean Kougaiji? Or does Lirin get henchmen later?

In case you did mean Kougaiji, Kou is help by Yaone, Dokugaiji, and Lirin. Of course, if Lirin does have henchmen herself, I have no idea who they might be.
