Wow! I love them! It's nice now to get some feedback even if it's short on what people downloaded. (happy dances) This is a great new feature, and one that actually makes me want to donate to the site.

I wholeheartedly agree. I was really pleasantly surprised when I logged on and saw both the option to give them on the few videos I recently DL'd but hadn't rated yet and the comments left on a few recent star ratings. Kudos to those responsible!

Yeah these seems really cool, I just noticed them yesterday when I downloaded a amv.

I haven't gotten any yet, how are they displayed to the AMV creator?

I'd prefer the quick comments to be displayed in the video info page as well.

They're listed down at the bottom-right of the 'Members Main Page', right above where your download problems are displayed and to the right of the opinions you've received recently.

Yeah, this was actually quite nice.

It's actual proof people are downloading my videos. I mean sure, I have received opinions before, but they are harder to give than a quick line would be. I think it's much easier to show appreciation now.

I mean, I know I've seen some videos before that I thought I should give praise but because of life's little excuses, an OP was just not convenient to make. I might suggest combining the star rating that this person gave with the quick comment, but meh, it's fine as it is IMO.

Yes, they're excellent. Both to give and receive. Sometimes conciseness is all that's needed; and filling them out is a joy in itself most of the time - makes star ratings seem like less of a chore.

And optionality prevails, of course.

Lovely, lovely. Clearly the best thing that happened to the website, well, ever since I joined.

I would like to see the star rating with it, and some way to comment on the comments as well. (But keeping it annoymous is fine).
