One Fine Day

I had this idea for a video a long time ago and had actually started gathering material for it before I ended up in a position where I didn't have time to make a video anymore.

Now, Offspring's "One Fine Day" is a song about rioting and ... well,... causing riots... lol. If you ever get the chance to listen to the lyrics, it's a very cool song.

My idea was to take various snippets of modern style anime that feature chaos and destruction, rioting in the streets and impose scenes from actual riot footage onto items like televisions in the background (similar to how Nightowl did it on Mad World. Although I doubt I'd figure out how to do that so I would more than likely end up only mixing those scenes in... Now, there are some slower parts to the song and so it would be nice to have a character to use as a focal point, but I haven't been able to think of an anime with a main character that runs around destroying everything... and drinks beer with friends... Akira might work, but it'd need a little work and I don't remember any scenes involving drinking... and it may be a bit too serious an anime for the more upbeat tone the song takes...

Anyway, just an idea... would be nice to see it made, but I doubt abyone would have the patience to make a video that would require that amount of time put in, that wasn't their idea to start with... just an idea.

If you want a fun, destruction causing character you could always use Sousake Sagara from Full Metal Panic! There's a few riot-like scenes in the series as well.
