70s Soul!

Post by RamonesFan2020204 » Wed Sep 07, 2005 11:03 pm

Just a few minutes ago, I was listening to The Spinners' self-titled 1973 release for Atlantic Records, and I was listening to the album's last song (Could It Be I'm Falling In Love), and it felt so great. That's one of the best songs from one of the best soul acts of the 1970s. There was alot of good soul music in the 70s, and even MY DAD agrees with me! You can't go wrong with:

The Spinners (like I mentioned before)
Parliament
Funkadelic
Stevie Wonder
The Commodores
Hmm, who else.....

JAMES BROWN! How could I leave out the Hardest Workin' Man In Show Business? At least my dad says that's who he is, I don't know if that's a fact.

The Spinners' 'Could It Be I'm Falling In Love' is a favorite of mine.
It reminds me of my childhood; along with the 60's.
Good times; the "oldies" are far better than anything in this decade.

Can't believe none mentioned: Frankie Valli And The Four Seasons.
The early days, man, they were the best.

Time means nothing to me, I didn't listen to him in the 60's but the 70's  and some of these groups are timeless. How about Aretha Franklin, then?
