Anyone here a profesional editor?
I'm just curious as to how many people here that make amv's also do this for a living.

im fallowing a education to become so... they said i can skip the first 3 years of montage though... wich in my opinion is a bad thing cause then i go from relax editing at home to stressy editing on stage and school so i can keep my level up
though im not sure if i wanna stick with the editing part... whe'll see

I did a course way back when in video production, spent most my time in pre production more-so than post, but I did some editing here and there, its nothing like making an amv, documentaries, tv shows, film, they use simple transitions and its a nice solid flowing project, however, amv's are hobbies sent by the devil to piss us all off.

In video production, yeah. But if you get into compositing with AE (think, comedy central, VH1, car comercials, etc...) you will find it can be pretty similar in the sense that's it's all about visuals flow, message, synch, and all the other good stuff we love to talk about here.CerebralAssamite wrote:I did a course way back when in video production, spent most my time in pre production more-so than post, but I did some editing here and there, its nothing like making an amv, documentaries, tv shows, film, they use simple transitions and its a nice solid flowing project, however, amv's are hobbies sent by the devil to piss us all off.
