Next gen DBZ amv (Brand new concept)
Hi all, this is a vid I made because I was soooo sick of looking for decent DBZ amvs but never finding any. The result was this amv which I tried to make as different to any other DBZ amv I had ever seen.
Download it and I guarantee that you won't be disappointed.

You called it "as different to any other DBZ amv I had ever seen", i'll call it "more of the same". The only thing i have found different were annoying subtitles and a whole lot of cheap effects.
Nothing new, nothing added, just a regular DBZ video.
And why on earth is it 92 MB for a 5 minute video? Is it that hard to compress to a decent output?

No, he/she is just being critcal of your vid in the wake of your unneccesary build-up. It wasn't original at all, the effects were cheesy and for the quality that filesize is totally crap, try pre- (or post-) processing your footage with some smoothing and sharpening, reduce the frame size a bit.ssjvackar wrote:wow what's up with you, not getting any?
Also: those subtitles were really annoying, that is even worse than just leaving in fansubs because they were only showing what i can only assume is the dialog anyway but in a much, much more intrusive way, by all means use the fade to black to sync your footage but dear god, please don't use the subs again, the music should be able to tell the story for you, there should be no need to add more to it, I've seen a few videos that change the story of the anime completely that didn't need to use subs.

This has been bugging me for a while now... the reason that I had to encode at such a high bitrate is that its a proper action amv, I had to encode it at a high bitrate, otherwise it looked pretty bad.Undertow wrote: And why on earth is it 92 MB for a 5 minute video? If you look for example at my Galactic Pipeline video, it is 2.14 long, and 23 MB. Which boils down to about 10 MB per minute, and it still looks great.ssjvackar wrote:This has been bugging me for a while now... the reason that I had to encode at such a high bitrate is that its a proper action amv, I had to encode it at a high bitrate, otherwise it looked pretty bad.Undertow wrote: And why on earth is it 92 MB for a 5 minute video? And saying that it's because it's a "propper" action video is no excuse and you know it. A little compression could help a lot, and doesn't have to be visible. Besides why is it encoded at 29.97 frames per second? I see no reason for that. A 24 frames per second video looks just as good, and saves atleast a bit of space.

Actually, sometimes it's really impossible, if you have lots of motion, flashes, pretty colours and action. Add a not so good DVD source and voila.Undertow wrote:And why on earth is it 92 MB for a 5 minute video? Is it that hard to compress to a decent output?
