The 2nd season of Inu Yasha comes out in a complete dvd box set November 8th.

I really love the movies they are awesome. And the 3rd one is better than the 1st and 2nd one in my opinion. =)

I've read/heard somewhere that they might be making an OVA/OAV of Inu Yasha. In my opinion there should be because it's not over yet from what I've heard from my sister. Because she has seen the last 2 episodes.

I have this complete set of Inuyasha in Japanese with Subtitle and finished 167 episodes!!! :D

There are loads of women who lov Sessho....There's the woman from a rich family(inu special ep.), Kagura(in ep.167) and Rin(in ep. 166 or 165)

The only one Sessho reacted to was Rin...I think when Rin gets to 17 or something Sessho is gona....hehhehehe...

He'd be his father's son, then. :P

Also, notice that all three of them (Seeshomaru, InuYasha, and their father) all prefer the same type - straight black-haired, brown-eyed women?

I wonder if there is a hidden meaning in there ...

Doesn't that describe a typical Japanese woman? Take into account the shows original fanbase...

Ok so Im not up on my anime translation etiquette so I have a question: In ep 103, Jakotsu (band of seven) who is clearly animated and voiced as a woman is constantly hitting on Inuyasha and then on Koga stating that he isnt as good looking as Inuyasha. But they keep calling him he... is that because when it was translated for english tv they didnt want a gay reference (for kids) so they made him into a woman and hope no one noticed they said he or did they voice it wrong? :?

And yes it seems most japanese woman characters that are in the main story are animated with long straight black hair. Ive also noticed all village men (in the back ground) are bald/ wearing rice farmer type hats, plain black dot eyes and wearing a beige kimono. I think maybe its because the animator doesnt want to take the time to detail everyone to look different.. wait thats not because western culture thinks all asians look the same is it? cuz Ive been told the reason why anime characters have large eyes is because asian cultures like rounder eyes vs their own?

American TV can't seem to handle stuff like this. That's an entire other conversation though.

I'd guess that they drew them that way, because that's the stereotype. The show wasn't originally designed for a western culture, AND lots of other shows do the same thing. Try, almost anything with historical stuff in it. Heck for that matter watch pretty much any Kurosawa movie.

I could be wrong about the whole eyes thing... but they way I understand it, the eyes are the window to the soul, hence large clear eyes are a sign of purity and innocence. Slit eyes, are a sign of crafty-ness; hence the fox look. Or sometimes it just means they are supposed to be Chinese

Normally, having one show with similarly designed characters isn't that odd (Kagome, Rin, and Sango are all similar in look, while Kikyo for some odd reason isn't as much like them).

But, when you have the same character design pop up Takahashi's other works (i.e. Emori from Rumiko Takahashi Anthology), then you have to wonder what's going on.

(Not to mention the fact that it seems that Kagome and Emori both perfer eating at WcDonaids. )

That is odd... mainly because Kagome is told she looks like "the dead priestess" like over and over and she is supposed to be the reincarnation of Kikyo.. unless that changed and Im not at that episode yet :?

And thank you madbunny.. I figured they attempted to mask the gay suggestion, thye did a terrible job may I add.

Im pretty sure that in the anime the primise behind that was that they couldnt tell if that was a chick or not. For one she never got her clothes ripped off and the other she acted more manly than fuckin inuyasha sometimes.
Oh god, that black dude with the afro is always making those damn trash ass music hip hop amvs...he needs to do something with techno or rock....
.......as if I would do something like that.
