Maybe we're being 'too' helpful. Lets backtrack. What programs are you using now, and What are you trying to do?Bloodseeker wrote:Mine don't have those features... and print screen has the same effect as those picture capture programs (I tried that before I tried any special programs)...
I'm gonna play around with some of the stuff that I saw on this site when I wake up and hopefully find something that works...

It has a little picture of a camera that let's you take the picture.
If you don't understand it at first don't feel bad it took me a while too.
(depending on if you have it or not)

A lot of computer DVD players have screen capture functions, but you usually have to upgrade for them. I use InterVideo WinDVD, but I had to upgrade to Platinum (about 50 bucks) before I could make screenshots. But for me, it was definitely worth the money ^_^ Now, whenever I'm watching a DVD, I just press 'P' and the shots are instantly put in a queue, where I can decide to save or delete them.

In Windows Media Player Classic, you could open up DVDs and just about every type of video format in it. When you pause it press F5 and it'll save the cap in the My Pictures folder as a BMP file.
Then use Paint or download the free program IrfanView to convert it to a gif or jpeg.
You could also open up the VOBs from the DVD in a free program called DGIndex, and it has a snapshot feature in it under the file menu. It'll save them as BMPs. There's also a lot of other free methods some already mentioned.
Anyway hope that helps. ^_^

Bloodseeker, if you don't have media player classic, it is a free download from sourceforge.net ,this is the page. http://sourceforge.net/project/showfile ... _id=314365
Download the file you need, 98 or xp, unzip it and put it in one of your files, like my documents or program files and creat shortcuts for it. It doesn't need to install since it is a stand alone application. click on it and run it. I found it will play dvd's that windows media player 9 won't play. The F5 screen capture is fun. Convert the picture to a jpeg with paint or any other image program and your ready to post it. By the way irfanview is a neat free image viewer and editor. You can find it by searching on google.
