Sounds EXACTLY like the xvid/divx premiere problem.

bets anyone? har har ;)

hey scintilla, do you mind if i create my own siggy that says the same thing? "dont use xvid/divx in adobe premiere"

:) out of this entire forum, its probably the most useful sig EVER.

we should hold a sig contest. best sig ever...

No actually its an uncomressed file i saved with virtual dub mod, the codec installed on my computer is ffdhow though, but if i compress in huffyuf the file is gonna be huge, thats kinda the reason i saved in uncompress, but anyway the file plays in the media pool, but when i move the footage to the timeline it goes all staticy.

I understand that the divx/xvid dont work, but if i am saving uncompressed file does that mean im saving to the original codec, because I am pretty sure this is in xvid/divx, but i saved it to uncompressed, could someone just clear that up for me thanx

If you actually did save an uncompressed video stream in your AVI, then the file should be even bigger than a HuffYUV would have been. (And it shouldn't be giving you issues.)

a purley uncompressed clip should be much larger than huffy, notice there is a name of huffyuv,, why? cuz its a type of lossless compression, its still huge..

are you SURE its uncompressed?

explain your process in how your saved the avi using virtual dub mod...

i think scintilla told me before, but make sure you have always suggest RGB checked.

somthing like that, i got somethign similar to yours, but my clip was inverted color and flipped upside down...

I did a direct stream copy sorta thing so i see the mistak i made, it must have used the xvid/codec.
