Anime revolution
Getting anime games that were released in Japan and never come in America is hard. I also imagine that this is also hard for European anime fans, becuase I also heard it is hard to get anime stuff. The discontentment with region coding devices from sony baracades us from actually viewing the things we want. There is a huge isolation between Japan and our countries. Mostly it is economical. That is why I propose that we should have a global Anime Revolution to make anime into a respected stlye of art, to break down the barriers to obtain the anime goods we want; and to create a pan-anime society. Inspired by the communist revolutions that appeared around the world (yeah I know communists are bad but) we should create our own revolutions. Expressing our fandom around the world.
Creating a group dedicated to bring a world wide anime revolution, creating a pan-anime society brining all anime fans around the world in one roof. Uniting all anime clubs, groups, cirlces, sites, companies, and etc under a group counsel. Spreading the ideas of anime around the world.
(I know this sounds crazy, so I am expecting a lot of seckptics for this)

First off, what the hell are you talking about? You didnt make much sence and that post just coonfused me. You sounded like you wanted to do something big but had no idea what you actualy wanted to do. Oh and most hardware dvd players are easily region unlockable. You can also buy region free players. They tend to be prety basic but they're cheap and do what they're supose to. It also isnt hard to rip & decrypt an encrypted dvd then burn the files back to a cd.

I wish you the best of luck with that. Uniting all anime clubs, groups, companies, etc...is like world peace. Someone is going to disagree with someone and probably start a war. There are so many ways to disagree because there are SO MANY anime that will be under this one roof. And to be under one counsel, the counsel members would have to be unbiased and if they like any anime, that isn't going to happen. Also, I know a lot of people who would rather go to hell then to sit under the same roof as some of the animation/dubbing companies out there. Again...good luck.Wu_Shing wrote:Creating a group dedicated to bring a world wide anime revolution, creating a pan-anime society brining all anime fans around the world in one roof. Ya know, there's a niffty little thing that Al Gore invented way back when. It's quite popular amongst the young people and I heard that you can even shop and order stuff on it that you wouldn't normally find at your local general store. I think it's called the "internet."
I'm not too sure what you mean by "economical isolation" but in general, the world isn't that isolated.
Quite frankly, I don't think there are too many otaku who care enough to start an "Anime Revolution." But I'm all for world domination and educating the ignorant masses. I nominate Batman to be our to be our merciless dictator.

You sound much like a certain Comic Party character, comrade.Wu_Shing wrote:I propose that we should have a global Anime Revolution to make anime into a respected stlye of art, to break down the barriers to obtain the anime goods we want; and to create a pan-anime society. Nope I don't really care. I just want to sit at home and watch my anime. I agree that it would be nice to educate the ignorant masses. I second that nomination!!!someperson wrote:Quite frankly, I don't think there are too many otaku who care enough to start an "Anime Revolution." I'd rather not. I'm one of only a few people I know who likes anime and manga and the like. I'd I'd rather keep it that way. I'm all for introducing people to something I know they'd enjoy, but introducing everyone to anime is a step too far.
Besides, I think merchandise imported from other countries and collecting things nobody else in town has is part of the fun.
Thats just my opinion.
