There is also ADV's The Anime Network, though not all satellite/cable companies have that channel...

ADV's TAN Anime Network On Demand. You need digital cable to get this + you'd have to subscribe and pay $6.95 a month. You can watch what they have available whenever you want, and like a VHS/DVD you stop, pause, rewind, fast forward. The lists of anime are (currently) separated into five categories; Action Zone, Bento Beat Box, Giant Robots, Girl Power, and Super Happy. Unfortunately these lists aren't as big as you're expecting. Also the list of anime titles is supposed to change every month.Kitsuner wrote:There is also ADV's The Anime Network, though not all satellite/cable companies have that channel...

The titles sometimes but rarely change, but every anime gets a new episode and loses an old one every two weeks. Super Happy is not on the list at the moment.megaman917 wrote:ADV's TAN Anime Network On Demand. You need digital cable to get this + you'd have to subscribe and pay $6.95 a month. Also, you can also view anime "On Demand" under certain Premium networks, like Starz. The only two series on there at the moment are Hellsing and Technolyze (or whatever it's called), plus there are various anime movies on various Premium channels.

Toon Disney has a programming block known as Jetix which features some anime. Certain movie channels, like Encore Action or Starz!, show anime from time to time, as well as the Sci Fi Network.
As a side note, regarding your earlier remark about purchasing DVDs that you have not seen, some animes aren't broadcast on any American TV station. Sometimes you just gotta take the gamble and buy a DVD that you think might be good, even if you haven't seen it. You might love it, you might hate it, or you could be somewhere in the middle. My point is, if you only buy anime you've seen on TV, you'll miss out on some great stuff.
