Cowboy Bebop - Original vs. Remix?

Post by dokool » Tue Oct 11, 2005 2:38 am

Anyone buy Remix vol 1? Is the video better than the original discs? How's the audio? The artifacting in the original DVD release of Bebop was pretty bad, but unless the improvements to the video are Eva-level in quality I probably won't re-buy the series.

Surely someone's posted a screenshot or two...

Which means that obviously you don't even understand why they released it in the first place. Look at Eva: Platinum for an example of this.

I have the original Bebop DVDs and there's nothing wrong with them. The only thing that bothers me is the audio and that's not enough for me to go purchase a remix DVD.

Which goes to show your ignorance. For example, there are significant improvements to the audio and video quality of Eva Platinum over the original DVDs. Ask anybody who's seen both.

My question is, whether or not the Bebop: Remix DVDs are as dramatically improved. If not, then it's probably not worth the buy. If so, then... well, perhaps in the future.

I know whis may sound totally crazy and off the wall, but some people that might use the video for footage in... i don't know.. an AMV perhaps might care about the video quality.

The 2 versions of Eva were were far diferent in video quality. Dokool's asking if the same quality of touch-ups were done in Cowboy Bebop as well...

Funny, I asked the same thing a day ago..

I haven't purchased the original release.. but I am curious about the difference in quality between it and the remix version. I'll have remix in the mail in a few days.. I could post pics from it if needed.. then someone could post pics from the original.

I notice Cowboy bebop Remix has some dot crawl and some bad interlacing issues here and there also some blocking but I only notice it on certain parts.. I could post some caps but someone would have to post some caps of the other version.
