Spirited Away **WARNING SPOILERS**
I basically posted this thread because I just saw the movie and it was sooooo awesome that I had to post a thread about it.For those of you who have not seen the movie I suggest you do not read this thread as it might contain spoilers.I am basicaly looking for anyone elses opinion other than my own, just out of curiosity.
My Personal Opinion
I think this movie is one of Miyazaki's greatest works of art.The concept maybe simple but everything Chihiro goes through is just pure genius.I have to say Haku's my favorite charecter because of his personality and the way his voice sounds (in the English dubbing). I really wish that Miyazaki had let them kiss,it wouls make the movie so much more beautiful. Truth be told I actualy cried at the end of the movie.
What do you think?
P.S Pls try to be nice in this one, because my last thread didn't go so well mainly because ,too much sarcasm, thread not really taken seriously. To many people mocking me just for the fun of it.So I would really like to avoid this problem here.

my sister had gotten it for me for X-mas(cause it was free) and i finally got around to seeing it, when i saw it i was like whoa, this was really good, even for a kid movie it was really deep, one thing i liked about it, much like Mononoke is the way his movies always involves some kind of big working system like the way the bath house goes about handling it's mass of gods and such, plus what made it good was it wasn't too sweet, it had its moments where it went alittle evil like with that fat baby.
after seeing this im hoping Howls Moving Castle will be out by X-mas.

I love it! My parents got me the 2 disk edition for christmas after years of wanting it, it was really different to what I expected but I'm glad it was. Aww, I liked the fact they didn't kiss, it seemed even sweeter
Also, I like the fact that none of it ever went kiddy. It was never thought it had to be kiddy cause it was animation.
Plus, it came with the japanese subbed version on the DVD; although, I do love the dub just as much.

I do like it, but I personally don't think it deserves as much credit as it's given; I blame that on the fact that it won an Oscar.
Although it's good, I'd say Princess Mononoke or Castle in the Sky are Miyazaki's best, not Spirited Away.

Did you miss the part about him being a river? Or how he and Chihiro had met before?Super Shanko wrote:i think it came on too strong, too fast when the oldman mentioned something about love(or something like that), seeing how they're kids and she wasnt there that long to know him. plus he was kinda being an ass in the beginning

Now here's some more questions, feel free to answer these if you want to,
Which one of Miyazaki's films do you like best? And why?
If you didn't like any of his movies state why you don't like them?
If you feel that Spirited Away is not one of Miyazaki's best (well i think it is his best),state the reasons why.
Once again answer these questions if you choose to do so.

My favorite was Princess Mononoke because it was violent and it was the only one to make me laugh when i first saw him get his hea bit.
I only saw 3 and i liked them all because they were different from each other.
it was one of his best as far i see.
