Vegas Video 4 Rendering suggestions?

Got a completed amv. Just need some help with rendering.

I'm using Vegas 4.0c currently. I need to render 2 versions, 1 high res DVD quality vid to put on a DVD for con use, and a 2nd for web distribution.

What would be some good settings for each? I usually use Lame MP3 for the audio, what should I use for video, which codec and what settings for that codec?

I've rendered stuff before, and once in a while it turns out ok. But theres usually alot of lines in it, or the quality is just crap.

This shows how longs its been since I've actually posted....last time I checked the tutorial section, Vegas wasnt even mentioned at all.
