yea, he'd be suprised when he figures out half of us are... 25 year olds who grew out of videogames (some not o.0) and are basically, the next generation in movie producer/ director/ staff or at least digital imaging. Not saying we'll all go that route, not saying we all came from that route, just the majority of us... AFAIK.
Right, because one data point makes for good statistics.

Anyway. I wonder if Dvorak, or any of the other TWiTs, has taken any interest in AMVs since then. God only knows what Dvorak would do with it.

Actually, I think such people are in a minority here- Out of the many editors I know, only a handful either currently, are studying to, or aspire to work in some form of media. From what I've seen, the majority of us just do it as a hobby. Many of us do tend to be more technically oriented though, as evidenced by the fairly high percentage of Computer Science & Engineering majors involved in the hobby.

People, chill about the "kid" thing. "Kid" is a moving target; to some people over 30, anyone under 30 is a "kid." It often means "young person," not "child." I get comments at work about being too young to remember or know about blah blah blah (which I usually DO know about, thank you), and I'm old enough to be your mom.

Interesting.

My mom will be turning 69 in January, so I'm pretty sure you AREN'T old enough to be my mom. :o But yeah, a surprising number of creators are not even college age anymore, although I think the vast majority are in that 19-23 age bracket, with some talented high schoolers filling in the lower ranks. Ah, free time, I miss it so...

LOL... to me "kid" is all the 14-17 yearolds on this site... and a good number of the 20-22 yearolds... lol.. and its weird when someone calls me a kid but its nice to hear once in a while mostly because I get sick of the REAL kids calling me old.. wtf is up with that? hahaha

anyways, generized statements are all over this thread... lol...

I find it more ammusing that they (as in media of any kind that mentions AMVs) keep talking about how creative we are :P I cant tell if they say it like its a good or bad thing lol
