I belive that the ending to lain while convoluted did properly explain itself.
Not haveing mastered the art of the spoiler warning yet I'm not going to go into detail sufice to say that the resolution was very in keeping with the stories thermatic elements. In regards to the rest of you post LenWidleheyt I agree whole heartedly shows such as berserk fustrate the hell out of me for the same reason

Xenosaga the animation ended right where it was supposed to. So I'd call it a good ending.
Also Martian Successor Nadesico had a very satisfying ending. I won't go into detail but most of the story works out to a conclusion.

I know a lot of people might disagree with me, but I liked the ending of Berserk. You have to realize that the entire anime series builds up to that. After having watched it three times, and considering a fourth, I saw so much forshadow. It was awsome, and also any Berserk fan should know that the Manga continues the anime series. So I enjoyed that ending it.

Also Arc the Lad anime had a pretty good ending. No gaint cliff hangers, although they changed one of the side character voices for the last two episodes. I never understood that.

Also Love Hina Agains ends that anime series well.

Bubble Gum Crisis Tokyo 2040 was also had a great ending that build up like that of Berserk. I really liked that ending.

Akira had a good ending after having watched it 5 times to understand all of it.

Armitage was good both the movie and the series.

Escaflowne had a good ending, yet I think that Hitomi should have stayed on Gaia with Von.

I also liked Mahoro Matics ending. It was unexpected, and I fell they solved a lot (season 2) of questions I had during the anime series. No really big cliff hangers.

Outlaw Star had a pretty good ending to. Not great, not bad. High average like a c+ or B-. I liked it.

Please teacher had a good ending because the two couple acctually did something in the end! Unlike most other romantic comdies where they hardly even kiss.

I can't really complain about the ending in Real Bout High School, but then again I did really like the series all that much.

Vampire Hunter D Bloodlust had a good ending as well.

But the best ending of them all is the last episode of Excel Saga.

It Was Friken brilliant. The Final Scene Was Perfect with the one hand being raised.
I somehow hated the end of s.CRY.ed...

I can't think of a ending I liked, maybe Ayashi no Ceres, the ending is nice^^

I assume you mean the episode after the ending.

Indeed.

Hmm this could end up being a LONG list. (the order in no means matters)
(may contain spoilers)
1) Ayashi no Ceres - ended well to me but I still hate that tooya died >.<
2) trigun - good
3) Hellsing - damn sexah ending
4) Pretear - damn cute ending
5) Escaflowne- I agree with who ever said hitomi should have stayed with Van
6) RaxZephon- I liked it.
7) Fushigi Yuugi(OVAs) - Finally they stay together
8) Samurai X movies - Yay they died together.
9) Appleseed - though confusing it was great
10) InuYasha (movie 2) - I loved how they found out they didn't kill Naraku. It's so evil and twisted ^.^

Outlaw Star: Made me beg for a sequel (got a spinoff... damn).

Blue Seed: Heartwarming and lovey dovey (too chickflick-esque for me, but it didn't leave me feeling empty inside)

Najica Blitz Tactics: Wait a sec... I have no idea what happened in the end- skip that.

Vampire Hunter D: Nice. Great ending. (SEQUEL. NOW.)

I guess Max Payne isn't much of a yaoi fan...
