How are the Naruto fillers?
So I'm waay behind with Naruto because of all the fillers. I've only seen a few of them but I stopped and decided to wait till they get back on track with the manga then I could watch them in one or a few sittings.. but everyones heard the news.. they're going to be going on for quite some time. So I'm wondering how much you all are enjoying them.

lol! I like the name of your topic.
Well....I haven't been watching them that much myself but my friend tells the plot of every episode after he watches it. He always says "this week's episode was alright" but in the past he used to go crazy and stuff like "OMG! Itachi knocked the shit outa Sasuke!". He really like this one episode where Rock Lee took off his weights though. I might just skip some episodes and come back to them later just to see Lee fight.

meh...
They provide character development without advancing the story line too much. I think that counts for something. Honestly, there are parts of the manga story line that are boring at times as well, so people should stop their bitching about how "filler" is ruining the show (not nessisarily talking about this thread, but in general). If an episode or series of episodes developes character or plot it becomes intergral and thus not "filler." The sitcom-esque episodes most anime start off with to interject humor before serious plot begins are, by this definition, also filler... granted there isn't any story line to begin with, they still arn't folowing it.

What was a vast improvement over the Manga was giving a reason for Sakura becoming a Medical Ninja. In the comic, she simplt said "I want to train under you," basically because she was helpless to go and get Sasuke.
In the show, however, she does it because Naruto gets his ass handed to him five ways to Sunday trying to protect her, and she literally could only stand by and watch; they went and made it far more guilt driven and human in that respect; either way, it ended up at the same place as the end of the Naruto/Sasuke fight.
