Funimation announced during their panel today at Anime Vegas that they will be releasing the Negima TV series. Greg Ayres will be playing the role of Negi. The splash page for it will go live on Monday at negima.tv
Man, FUNi is certainly going to hire a lot of VAs (mostly females) for this series. I wouldn't be surprised if they outsource a bunch of VAs from ADV.

Neat! I've just gotten hooked on the manga and I'm curious as to how the TV Series is.

Will Funi get the episodes that they re-did for DVD in Japan, or the episodes that were aired on television originally?

Probably the DVD release, but don't expect much either way. They deviated from the orginal story on more than one occasion and completely made up the ending.

Well, of course they made up the ending, as it's a 26-ep series as opposed to a still-continuing manga.

I'll probably get the first disc to see how it is. I really enjoy the manga so at the very least the anime will make up for how slow DelRay has been with its releasing...

Man, I thought I was happy with the Tsukuyomi Moon Phase news....just as long as they keep in all the perversion.

I <3 Nodoka Miyazaki.

This almost made me as happy as when I heard Paradise Kiss is going to become an anime.

The only thing that gets my interest is that Greg "Anime Punk" Ayres is going to be in it.
Probably too busy to be here right now.
