I find it ironic the three anime you did list have all prettymuch been aired to death on CN/AS's time slots.

Frankly, we've all (or at least, most of us) seen them by this point, which kind of leads one to wonder what point there would be in airing it...it's time for some new blood...

and frankly, I look forward to this...it's nice to see older titles get their due from time to time.

The shows you listed as being poorly drawn aren't necessarily bad shows. They weren't meant for artistic value but for a sort of off-the-wall humor. If you haven't bothered to get past the bad drawing to appreciate the humor, you really should try. If you have, then I'm sorry you didn't like it.

it's kind of funny that you say that, because Hanna Barbera cartoons used many of the same techniques as Anime; in fact, they're both really very bad forms of animtion. Ever notice how Wilma or Fred will be talking, and their head coloring is different than their body's? That's because they used a still body and the head was on a different cel.

They're both ass-ugly, and I can at least appreciate Gigantor and Speed Racer for the milestones they were in Anime, just as I can appreciate The Flintstones and the Jetsons, despite their mutual ugliness,

Since they seem to like long running serries on CN they should play
Fushigi Yugi
Ranma
El Hazard
or an un-edited vertion of the Tenchi Muyo serries[/b]

well you gotta kinda look at it like this, adult swim isnt just anime, its cartoon made for older teens and adults. Just because most of it is anime, doesnt mean that it all has to be anime. I think aqua teen hunger force is like one of the most retarded looking cartoons on the face of the planet, but its comedy makes up for what it lacks in design. Its a quite funny show, in fact i got another amv idea using a song that accually talks about them...

You gotta look at it from the bigger picture and see how adult swim has evolved from just 4 anime shows to a whole saturday full.

As far as classics go I would love to watch some old school, I wish they would pull out some speed racer and some g-force, hell I'd love to see some thundercats(not sure if its anime or not tho, i've always been confused on that one). I would say macross(robotech), but somehow I have to get my hands on a jp version of that. Seeing old school makes you appreciate what you watch today even more.
Oh god, that black dude with the afro is always making those damn trash ass music hip hop amvs...he needs to do something with techno or rock....

The only Adult Swim that is on Friday is the Friday Night Fix, and that's online, not on TV. When it comes to TV, there is no Adult Swim when it comes to Friday. :?

Nope. It was produced by Rankin and Bass, the people who made those old puppet christmas specials and the Hobbit cartoon.

Anyway, I had heard that the people at Adult Swim absolutely hate anime. Goes to show how much people are willing to go for ratings.
