Audio Ripping Prob?

Post by maxamillion » Thu Nov 03, 2005 10:41 pm

This is the same old question. I've read all of the forums, guides, everything. Tried different programs. My problem is that I'm trying to rip audio from my sin city clip. Funny thing is that when I rip the stuff with DVD Decrypter, it only got the video, no audio. I am in IFO mode and thats about it, can some one plz help me.

You have to select the appropriate audio track in the stream processing options of DVD Decrypter, then it should rip the audio as well.

the vobs that you ripped should contain the audio streams in them. open the vobs in dgindex, click audio/output method/demux all tracks then when you save the d2v file, the audio streams will be extracted as separate files in the same folder as the d2v file.

Dont want to sound like a jerk, but that is what I'm having trouble with. The .vobs dont have any sound in them. I'll try your way when I have time to. Thanks.

Second Post: I see the stream process. Do i just click enable stream process and make sure all of the stuff(video, audio, subtitles) are check? Also what do I do about the Stream 0xE0 - Video?

I also look in my dvd folder on the dvd and it has two folders. Video_TS which has stuff and Audio_TS that has nothing, could this be my problem?

No. The Audio_TS folder is always empty at a DVD-Video. It's there for compatibility with a DVD-Audio. The audio stream is always in the .vob.

Check the things you need. Video, the audio stream you want (if there is more than one audio stream).

If you only want the audio, you can rip without the video. I don't use DVDDecrypter so I don't know if it's possible: demux it, so that you get a wav/or ac3 instead the vob. That way you don't need an additional step.
