No, like characters. You know, that think things and feel things other than "yes, master, may I soap myself again for you, master."
damn the average age of this board. But you look like fools, which is at least funny.
Back on topic: Kare Kano (His and Hers Circumstances) is supposed to be very good, but I haven't seen it yet. Very unusual, in that it's down-to-earth and not stupid 13-year-old-boy fantasy.

It is good, if only it were actually finished.SarahtheBoring wrote:Back on topic: Kare Kano (His and Hers Circumstances) is supposed to be very good, but I haven't seen it yet. Very unusual, in that it's down-to-earth and not stupid 13-year-old-boy fantasy.
Otherwise - sure - if you're looking for a series that's hilarious, artistically varied and fresh (though not in any way sophisticated), and generally just really about your typical boyfriend-girlfriend relationship with a lot of (rather good) side stories and angsty overtones thrown in... Go for it. I'd say it's somewhere in the area of my 3rd/4th favorite series.
The Birds are using humanity in order to throw something terrifying at this green pig. And then what happens to us all later, that’s simply not important to them…

Read Paradise Kiss and The Demon Ororon. Both have excelent love stories.
Oh, FLCL has a nice love story if you don't mind insanely weird and deep.

Sarah, you are truely the voice of reason among this forum of overactive young hormones. There is much to be said for age and wisdom.
On topic,
Blue Gender: a love story developing over the series, not much hot stuff though.
Blue Submarine 6: Two loves of different kinds play out over this series.
Pet Shop of Horrors: Three of the four stories are strange love stories along horror story lines.

Where did you say I'm going?.... And what am I doing in a handbasket?

Like you really feel for the characters and can relate to them. I hate those love stories that are just ALLL happy times, cause real love isn't like that... Anyway, it'd be nice if someone gave me some suggestions
(One of my fav romantic animes, is chobits.)
Samurai X Trust and betrayal...
It was so beautiful!!!!
Why do people complain about things? Why can't they just be happy that they were made for them?
I respect everyone's right to not like something, but complaining about it will acomplish nothing...

Another that would be a little along the lines of Trust and Betrayal would be Jin Roh.
Jin Roh: it has a love story that developes into a young mans need to decide between loyalty to his group or his love for a girl. A pretty good one disc anime set in an alternate present day Japan.

Please Twins!
Kamishiro Maiku was orphaned at a young age (this sounds a bit too familiar...), and the only thing remaining from his past is a photo of him as a child. In the photo, he is playing with another girl in a wading pool with the backdrop of a big house. Now in his first year of high school, Maiku left the orphanage he was in, took up a job as a programmer, and rented this house in the hope of reclaiming something of his memories.
One day, two girls show up at his doorstep, each bearing the same photo and insisting that they could be his relatives. What's a guy going to do in this situation? Who is the relative and who is the stranger?
Like showers of rain on the barren desert of male lead roles, we are blessed with a character who *doesn't* fall into the harem loser stereotype. Put Maiku in a ring with, say, Keitarou from Love Hina and you'll see that he has a lot going for him - he's got a paying job as a programmer (left hook!), he's responsible (right cross!) and so in control of his hormones that he'd make a nun look weird (K.O!).
