The likeable Villain, does he exist
And I'm not talking the "we were both abandoned alien twin brothers but on that space station the chick with the green hair loved you more than me" type of villain, nor the "i only wanted to erase humanity so there would be no more crimes and saddness and I could build a utopia on the moon with my army of foxy female troopers or for some other bizarre reason" villain and most of all not the "this really tragic thing happened when I was a kid so I really had no choice" villain. I'm talking about the villain who becomes a villain for logical, realistic and yet interesting reasons. "the dark king poisoned my lover and only he's got the antidote so I have to work for him" is another example for what I'm not talking about. I guess you get the idea. Has anyone seen this villain?

How about the anime take on Edmond Dantes in Gankutsuou: The Count of Monte Cristo? (if you're familiar with the original classic, you can probably judge that already)
The Birds are using humanity in order to throw something terrifying at this green pig. And then what happens to us all later, that’s simply not important to them…

Yes.
Gluttony, Ni (Saiyuki), and Billy G are all villians that I like.
Wait, Gluttony isn't really logical, is he? Fun though.
Anyway, many villians don't think of themselves as evil. They're merely good in away seperate from the heroes. Like they want to improve the country by overthrowing the current rule, and ruling over the land themselves, usually with an iron fist.

I agree that most villains don't see themselves as evil, but I'm asking about villains that I might like. Someone who thinks it's jolly good to overthrow governments and rule with an iron fist is surely not going to be invited to my birthday party. I didn't know there was an anime version of the Count of Monte Cristo. Wonder if he has a huge nose. As for the other animes mentioned, haven't seen a single one of them. If anyone would perhaps care to describe the villains in question a bit?

Ok Lust is from Full Metal Alchemist.
She is what called a homunculi. Basically a body that can't be destroyed except by alchemy. Her and most of Homunculi along with her was normal human bodies. The only way to get them is through something called the philosiphers stone.
The only way to get this stone is by a person named Edward Elric. So basically they hire evil men to force Ed to create this. They do evil to get what they want which is actually good.

Ni- Detached, Calm, and generaly has fun just by making things harder for both groups. (the villian and heroes). He carries around a rabbit doll at all times and I suspect he is the real power behind the villian. He had been a heretical Sanzo (high buddist monk, but not officially acknowlaged, which didn't bother him or anyone else for that matter), but now works alot with technology.
Billy G- A hacker. Makes viruses to find others as skilled as him, so that they may help him in future escapades. Skilled, but not so much as the main character. He isn't a huge villian (since there are none in the story (A.I Love you, a Romance Comedy from Ken Akamatsu)), but half of the plot twists stem from him.
Gluttony is just an insane character with an insatiable hunger, so he eats anything Lust lets him. Fun character, but not someone you'd invite to a party.
