For the love of god how had is it for some people to get. Just because someone is dressed up like your favorite character in no way entitles you to any claim what so ever on them. If you want to take a picture do what you would do anywhere else in civilized society F'ing ask. I'm sick of Otakus scaring off one of the few things I enjoy about cons. Chill out that is all
P.S. Yup nipple

Who are you talking to? That's all common sense and I'm at least somewhat sure that most of the people in this thread have gotten that by now.KingSchwill wrote:For the love of god how had is it for some people to get. Ok, back on topic; what are the key ingredients to creating a realistic cosplay outfit?
1) Physically resemble the character you're trying to imitate.
2) ....?
You're lucky... I've decided to let you live to see the day when I will rule the world.

2. Like it or not, you're going to need SOME money to buy materials. There are some people who will argue that the most expensive material isn't necessary for a good costume, and I don't disagree. I'm just saying you're definitely going to need more than just your allowance.
3. Some knowledge in sewing, perhaps?

Even this is debatable to a certain degree. If you have the wrong hair color, for example, this can be easily fixed via a wig or hair dye. It costs a little extra, but it doesn't take hundreds of dollars to do so. Different makeup techniques can also do wonders, so sometimes you don't really have to look much like the character you're cosplaying, but are able to MAKE yourself look like them.Cloud Clone wrote: 1) Physically resemble the character you're trying to imitate.
