Hello. I'm a longtime watcher. First time poster.

I just have trouble finding new videos that are to my taste. I go down the 10% lists and find them heavily skewed toward the seizure-causing action videos with too many effects, or the long, multi-editor projects that have maybe two or three memorable moments in a ten-minute video.

I wind up having to either use my favorites list to check for the new projects of editors I've already watched and liked, or try to search by anime, and wind up with really inconsistent results.

I'd love it if we could get the big lists by genre, editors' picks, things like that. I'd REALLY love it if we could search by AMV contest participation.

You can. Just go to the Super Search and use the "Participation" dropdown box. It lists just about every convention and contest that have taken place.

You can already sort the Top 10% List by genre (and by individual score categories).

oh, speaking of banners.
There is one big thing that annoys me big time!!
When somebody has more than 10 (me! ) Banners worthy, People notice the banners and often make banners with the same text on it!
I think it's redicilous to copy banner text. Why can't people think of their own text?

I thought it was annoying until somebody copied mine!
Well I can tell you: I was PISSED OFF and now I simply hate those banners
Though banners aren't such a big deal, anybody can make them: but everybody who votes has a different taste.
It's pretty weird of me, making myself angry just because of a stupid banner.. a stupid WORTHY banner.. MY stupid worthy banner.. being copied.

Anyway, my point is: you have a good set of brains (normaly spoken yes T_T) So USE THEM WHEN YOU MAKE BANNERS GVD o_o

truthfully i could care less if people rip off ideas off of my banners o.0 unless they rip off the whole banner, thats where i get angry...

I havent seen many banners with your "captions" on them... but anyways, sometimes people can have the same ideas as someone else, or sometimes the only way they can get an idea is to be inspired by someone elses idea...

I also dont get angry about people using the same anime/song combo as me o.0

I dont like "living in fear" of the music industry, although I dont think that they WANT to shut us down, I just dont like the Impending doom that comes with distrobution o.0
