Okay, you have installed the AMV-App from the guide right?
In it is the DMPEGDec tool.
When you have ripped your dvds, open the DMPEGDec and open the VOBs you have just ripped. Save the project (which will also automatically create an AVS file for VDub). Then add your scripts to the AVS file and open it with VDub.
That's it. I hope it's all clear for you.

Theundead:you are saying you try uploading the avi into windows movie maker, right? the problem you're getting makes wmm close,I'd assume. I get a similar problem most of the time. I believe it is because I don't have enough memory on my computer-I have only 512 MB of RAM, and for any video/audio project you should have at least 1 GB. My processor is also a little on the slow side, so that may be another problem, but with smaller video files I don't have a problem. And once I get the video uploaded, I don't have problems very often.
So, basically, you may just need more RAM.

No, it think you're wrong about that. You can edit in WMM with 128 ram, although it's terribly slow. No, as i understood it, WMM doesn't understand HuffYuv. So you need to export the ripped AVI to a format it does understand, like XVid (for some strange reason it seems to understand compressed video perfectly and not uncompressed video).
