I've seen quite a few animes of this year. And I have to say they have hardly tweaked my interest. I guess it can't be helped, but I have seen a couple of animes that I feel should be mentioned.
Coming in at number one for me is...
BLOOD+ (For all Blood: The last Vampire fans, this anime might be right up your alley. Personally I am currently enjoying this anime, and have three episodes off it, looking for more. I feel this has good potential, and I can't wait to see more of it)
At second...
Tsubasa chronicle (I've really enjoyed the manga of this series, and the anime that came out this year is also good, I've been enjoying it so far, and hope it continues as much as posible)
And for me... third is...
iGPX (TV-2) (I have a feeling about this anime. I can't say that its perfect, but I do like it. It has potential, so I'll keep track of it, but I feel that it needs mentioning.)
Those are I think probably the best series of 2005, what are yours?

Animes of 2005
Why do people complain about things? Why can't they just be happy that they were made for them?
I respect everyone's right to not like something, but complaining about it will acomplish nothing...

Although they both started in 2004, these two series ran well into 2005.
My picks would be (as usual) -
Monster and Gankutsuou
Although they're obviously not the best choice for everyone, they're absolutely among the very best anime for mature, serious audiences. Both absolutely excel at plot, character and athmosphere development; Gankutsuou also takes the cake for the most unusual and interesting visual techniques in years.
Both have also been justly popular - Monster is based on a best-selling manga, and seems to have done well in Japan; Gankutsuou very recently received the "TV Series of the Year" award at the Kobe Animation Festival.
To me, the very existence to series like this ensures that the sins of the anime industry are automatically forgiven![Rolling Eyes ](./images/smilies/icon_rolleyes.gif)

The Birds are using humanity in order to throw something terrifying at this green pig. And then what happens to us all later, that’s simply not important to them…

My votes go to
Blood + (for the above explained reasons. No need to repeat the already stated)
and
Kakurenbo- come on. Even though the movie was a scant 30 minutes long it was amazing. The CGI was top of the line, the characters were vivid and interesting, and the story line was bone chillingly good. A true treat for any anime lover.
