I'm sorry, but I've been following Inuyasha for the last three years and although it has frustrated me at times with reruns. I will mourn the end of the series. I'm just not sure I'm ready to give it up just yet...... :x :x :x

The origional post was citing news over a year old. The necroposting was pointless. This thread needs to die. Thank you and have a nice day :) .

Over a year old? Good. I'm sick of seeing Inuyasha and Cowboy Bebop repeating all over Adult Swim.

Doesn't "jumping the shark" refer to a specific moment when you can tell that the series is going all downhill, rather than the entire process of dragging it out too long?

Yeah, that's what I thought too. If I remember right, someone coined it for that episode in "happy days" when the Fonz jumped over a shark on a waterski.
So what would be the precise moment that Inuyasha started to go downhill?

For me, I'd have to say it was at the end of the first Naraku arc, when they should have either killed him, or complete the shikon no tama, but instead the show started a whole series of new and poorly thought out filler arcs. Ideally, the show should have either ended there, or with the second movie.
Build a man a fire, and he will be warm for a night. Set a man on fire, and he will be warm for the rest of his life.
