Best albums of 2005

Post by MetalWolf » Sat Dec 10, 2005 11:23 am

I dont know I think it was a rather weak year for music (at least for what I was looking for). However there were a few good ones.

Touched By The Crimson King by Demons & Wizards
The Black Halo by Kamelot
Mafia by Black Label Society
Alien by Strapping Young Lad
Angel Of Retribution by Judas Priest (even though it wasn't as good as I had hoped)

What were you favorite albums that came out this year?

To be honest, I've not really listened to very much new music at all in the last year.

The one album that I did hear, however, was pretty darn profound; easily my favorite contemporary rock album:

DDT - Propavshij Bez Vesti
The Birds are using humanity in order to throw something terrifying at this green pig. And then what happens to us all later, that’s simply not important to them…

Dark Tranquillity - Character
Opeth - Ghost Reveries
Arch Enemy - Doomsday Machine

Thats it for now ... it really wasn't a good year.

To be perfectly honest, after 14 it gets kinda weak, I had to reach to remember six more really good solid albums. I just had to represent the non-metal crowd.
