uhh...all anime dvds are cpyright protected, and it doesn't mean that you can't get the footage. ANY dvd ripper will do the trick.

and store it on your Hard drive as a "backup"
It is also agaisnt the forum rules to ask about obtaining footage. It is against the site rules to upload amvs using downloaded footage or pirated software, but people still do it anyway...
If you took the time to look, nearly all threads asking about obtaining footage are locked, no matter who you are.
Although downloaded footage can have good quality, it is notorious for ending up as really poor quality. Use dvd footage for everything that you have dvds for. if you don't have dvds, consider buying them.

I don't know your intial post, but I do know that every post that asks where to download music and video is met with the same negative response. It could be because you are expected to read the forum rules before your post.
Between Dvd Decryptor and DVD Shrink, I've never found a dvd I haven't been able to get the footage from. Maybe you should have asked, "How can I get the footage off this dvd?" instead of "Where can I download illegal files?".

All dvd's are copywrite protected. That doesn't mean you can't still rip them. To my mind there is NO DVD that you CAN NOT RIP. Read the guides for once people, Jesus Tapdancing Christ. Many of us DO get our footage from DVD's, though the larger percent of this site edit with downloaded footage from fansubs and the like.
Don't come of with a king shit attitude like that just because no one will tell you were to download footage, cause it's against the rules of this site, and yes, THERE ARE RULES on this site. I'd post them, but I think you need to be able to find them yourself, since you seemed to fail finding them the first time.
And what the hell is with his Kagome worshiping bullshit nonsense you keep bringing up. Your orientation with the characters from Inuyasha has no sway with anyone here on whether they like you or not, as such a system of bias does not exist here, not in the forums at least. In fact boasting such staggering fanaticism over Inuyasha would probably get your threads locked faster.
You seem to also fail to realise the thin line this site stands on in terms of legality. This site could get shut down if we just freely gave out info onto how you could obtain raw clips, episodes, movies of the sort illegally. Hell we could get shut down anyways, we already got a cease and desist for 3 bands recently.

1. asking for footage is AGAINST THE RULES - no one here in good standing would ever give out footage to anyone else. Ignorance of the rules is still not an excuse as this question has been asked countless of times [strike 1]

Okay, did you try the DVD ripping programs recommended in the guides? Their whole point is to circumvent the very protection you're talking about. And what DVDs specifically are you having a problem with?
