ARG! Anyone know how to inport AVS files to Vegas??

I just figured out how to do this AVS thing to finaly improve my vid quality and i was testing it out in adobe but i didnt like adobe so i went out and got vegas since it's demo was very much like Acid "i know that program" so i like the familuarity but i started to get down to work and it cant even read alot of my video files let alone the AVS files im using from my DVD's ????
the Question in all that rambling is:How do I inport my DVD riped AVS files to vegas

Or Mabe some one knows a good way to import dvd video at high quality into a format that vegas can read? i have Hard drive space

???why cant these programs just render VOB files and make it easy on us???

This will get me on my way i did a fourm search for vegas found nothing simular to my problem LOL "should have did a search for AFS

I agree. Or put it in one of the guides.. I think it's very useful info.

i followed that and it wouldnt work????
i get an error messeage in the VFAPI program as i Add the file?
not the right format ? i dont understand what did wrong ???

Never mind i got one to work i think since i had amvapp instaled i was using a difrent avisynth from what i was suposed to use

i tryed it again and it works now

I am using Vegas 6.0 and it will except the VOB files from a dvd directly. So if you have the hard drive space just copy the VOB files to your hard drive and work off of them directly. The trimmer works great to make the parts you need into a more managable size.

I just got this avi synth way down i have the vob files on the HDD already maybe i should try that ....you havent dad any issues while editind ?
