Seriosly. I mean, look at the last 4 vids of my profile. My last two releases have bein 7LR* and a bloody practice amv I started a year ago.

*which is more closely related to snuff and obscure chinese torture devices than entertainment. I mean seriosly, has anyone willingly sat through at least half the thing? it's fun in small doses between a shotgun to the head and jumping nude off the top of a skyscraper but otherwise I dont see its apeal.

Ah, 2005! 8-)

Made my debute by releasing a romance video with some hot brother-sister incest theme going around. Obviously it's not going to be the last time I'm doing that type of video. More romance AMVs should have brother-sister incest in it; it makes intimacy more kinky!

Then I experienced a sampler of making different types of videos like videos for MEPs, tricky Avisynth work, and creating instrumental videos (I'm actually quite fond of making those types; it's fun having the freedom of creating your own story). For 2006, I plan to definetely finish that project5555 track which is turning out to be pretty bizzare. I'm definetely planning on a hentai video which hopefully everyone can enjoy and not be disgusted (as long I get my source in the mail). Then the rest will be out of a whim.

Well, this was my debut year for AMVs and being new, I did a little of everything. I made four AMVs this year, two of which took awards in multiple conventions. The most notable award was taking best drama at Anime Expo this year. I was there for the convention and it was amazing being involved in such an excellent contest and I plan on having some more vids ready for next years contest!

On top of the full vids I also made two sections for two MEPs, both of which were very good experiences for me.

I gotta say that for my first year as an editor here I really have learned and developed alot. I'm very thankful for the supportive members here who've helped me out by leaving comments or opinions and thanks to that help I've been able to hone my style.

I have tons of ideas for 2006 and plan to do my best to really stand out in the crowd. I'm looking forward to delivering some great AMVs next year and hopefully learn even more about Premiere and After Effects as I go!

What have I done this year? Oh yeah, not much at all, It was a busy year with my schooling so I didn't get much time to actually put any -effort- into my idea's and video's. Damaged Nails, isn't all that crash hot, but I did learn that If I am not going to put all my effort into a video, dont work on it at all, its just not worth it.
There were about 3 videos that I didnt release due to ciritism of the idea's and video's, I'll redo them again next year sometime..

SoulDrainer are more than happy to let me use their preview tracks for their new album in some amv's, ill begin work on them in feburary after Demon's Within, Kataklysm, Lilitu and Wrathage are just some bands I'll be using in my 2006 release's.
I've spoken to Vanishing Point's guitarist Chris Porcianko (wasn't hard though he was the christmas family doo, married my cousin so makes him my cousin now) I mentioned to him about amv's and the SoulDrainer one, he seem's very interested in this, maybe I'll create a MEP using Vanishing Point, in due time though, in due time.

Effects wise, I will not be using any new effects, I have a history of putting shit on effects especially when their not used properlly, I'm just the type of editor that would rather let the video speak for itself and not hide it behind some fancy lighting show.

AMV:

- Did a track for the Unearthed Project using the Animatrix, a source i'd been wanting to use for a while.
- Remastered an older video of mine.
- Released my first video in almost a year (non-anime so not on the org)
- Started co-ordinating the Doom Project, which will continue on until early to mid 2006.
- Currently working on an Advent Children idea and remastering one of _Ice-Angel_'s old videos as a birthday present for her.
- Got into the Semi-Finals for the 2005 VCA's, which was a huge achievement for me ^_^
- Won second place in the Infinite Chaos competition.
- Won third place in Wai-Con 2005's AMV comp.

Personal:

- Lost someone close to me
- I went to Italy for a month
- I made lots of awesome new friends
- Attended my first con and won third prize in the AMV comp :D (but was unable to attend the presentation ceremony as i was ill on the second day :()
- I died  (heart stopped for 46 seconds)

My thanks for 2005:

- Castor Troy: for helping me run my first MEP, helping me with some information for the AMV2DVD guide (although you didn't know it was for that:P), and for just being a great guy to have a chat to.
- Fluxmeister: For helping me out with some technical aspects of my videos, for releasing some great videos, and for being a great guy
- SephirothX: For finally getting off your butt and releasing something again:P, for helping me out, and for being someone i could have a laugh with.
- AltruisticCrono: For being my unnofficial mentor, and of course for putting up with me.
- _Ice-Angel_: For being the crazy hilarious person you are.

If i've forgotten anyway please feel free to send a PM bomb.

2005 is the year I had time to do stuff. I got my ass in gear an experimented. Gained a lot of experience as far as editing goes.

Made a 4 vids and participated in a couple of MEPs. Funny enough I didn’t have internet up until July so I was never up to date on the happenings in the org.

Met a couple of cool people over at #amv. [FG shittalk is the best]

2006 = BTB… yes there is another TechBeat coming :/ and it will be taking most of my year.

On a side note: I learned how to dust loop and I-No will be one of my major challenges this coming year.

In 2005...

- Started 2 videos of my own
- Completed none
- Scintilla and I made our first collaborative video for ACen
- Didn't go to any cons
- Participated in Anime NEXT with FLCAL
- FLCAL made finals in Otakon (which felt just as good as winning)
- same video was also named "Best Sentimental" at AWA Expo
- Recieved Magix as a gift and now I'm trying to work with that instead of WMM2
