wow, umm made 3 amvs, my first one got me to anime expo surprizingly. 2nd one got majorly great reviews, and my third one is kinda pfft because its basically a lip syncing exersize. Also learned that hip hop is loved to be hated(fuck you haters).
I learned a lot this year messing around with vegas, but take my advice, show your amvs around to ppl. You never know what might happen. The same video that was just supposed to be my test of lip sync, landed me a job as an editor for a production company. Since contest season has started over, and I will have free time to edit in school and out, I can make more amvs.

2005 was a great year. It was my first year editing AMVs which led me to:
-Getting back in to anime big time...
-Attending anime conventions (AnimeBoston, AnimeNext, Otakon, and AWA).
-Upgrading my PC so I can edit more AMVs.
-Meeting other editors (surprisingly a lot were very cool normal people. I expected a lot worse I guess heh).
-Improved my editing skills on non-AMV projects.
-Buying a crapload of anime DVDs after gaining interest from watching AMVs.
-Buying more useless toys while wandering around Con dealer rooms.
-On a non-AMV note, I bought a condo. Say good-bye to disposable income.
-I didn't do drugs.
I hope 2006 is even better.

In 2005, I finished and released 11 videos, plus two live-action projects and a bunch of short crap that included some of the most offensive cuts in AMV Hell 0. I also moved to Germany, patched things up with my S.O., went to Wacken, got addicted to obscure east-Asian MMOs, and crossed a national border on foot, not in any particular order. I ended the year on somewhat of a dejected note for AMVs, as I was unable to finish a two-video project that had been stewing for the better part of three months.
In 2006, I hope to finish these videos to make a proper showing on my home ground (Anime Boston), which I may actually go to. I would also like to do up two multi-video stands on a pair of underappreciated titles, and get back the motivation to crunch out another book, or record some more demos with one of my music projects. I would like to avoid getting posted to Taiwan, or if posted there, to keep up relations with my S.O. to the point that she'll still want me around when I come back.

Shin Hatsubai is a Premiere-free studio. Insomni-Ack is habitually worthless.

2005 AMV Stuff
-posted my AMV thesis on the internet to rave reviews (by rave reviews I mean "a few people took notice")
-took my AMV thesis that made an A, rewrote it, and made an A-
-started a few crummy AMVs that will never be finished or released
-started a halfway decent AMV that will be finished this spring
-first DVD rip
-first venture into lip-syncing
-was in Japan all summer, so missed all the summer cons
-missed the one con I could go to (AWA) cause my loser friend bailed out on me with his free place to crash
-posted a lot more on the forums and got to know many of you lovely people
2006 AMV Goals
-finish my 3x3 Eyes AMV and maybe send it off to a contest or two
-post my rewritten thesis on the web (I don't care if my grade did go down)
-buy my own editing stuff, since I will be graduating and unable to use my school's lovely facilities
-either a) find a job that will suck up all my free time and leave none for AMVs or b) find a job that leaves me with more free time for AMVs (I'm really pulling for b)
2005 Personal Stuff
-lived in Japan for a few months
-had a very long relationship end
-learned that I never want to work for a news station unless I'm desparate and starving
-published internationally
-learned that stress is a bad thing
2006 Personal Goals
-GET A JOB!!! That's it.
