Awsome Anime Games
well I've just got done playing Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex for PS2 and I guess I have a few things to say.
I was very skeptical at playing a anime based game because few are done in a manner which is actually good. However I am very please with this game. Not only do you get to kick major butt with the Major but you get to have fun with a tachcoma and Batou as well. The levels are extensive and the scenery sometimes inspiring and a masterpeice of computer animation. I loved the multiplayer mode just because of the halo type feel with combat. Although it is 3rd person I liked that a good bit more than the 1st person aspect other shooters have.
So here it is. Tell us about the anime based games you've played and loved. But also tell us why you love them so much. What about the game captured the series.
Ghost in the shell did a good job with the cyber brain hacking and a lot of the technology. It was a real treat.

oh there's some awsome anime games out there. I think they failed horribly with a good amount of the gundam games but there was one they did a great job with. Mobile Suit Gundam: Zeonic Front. It's a game that actually requires strategy in and not just running in and shooting everything in your way.
I loved robotech Battlecry as well. It was a little to simple and could of used a better sequel.
I would try the Hack games if the four didn't cost so freakin much.

It was good except for that FREAKIN JUMP PUZZLE OF DEWM.older_gohan wrote: Ghost in the shell did a good job with the cyber brain hacking and a lot of the technology. It was a real treat.
I wasted half an hour in that alley.

I've seen fullmetal games played and they look ok. Truthfully, I would much rather just watch the show or read the manga vs playing the game (as some just follow the story line?). Too much like making a game from a movie... >_>
Now there are some games not based off of any anime (guilty gear and xenogears) that had anime graphics, but that'd probably be as far as I'd go.

Which rant would best fit in this tiny space?
