Another interesting one could be "Soylent Green."

"It's made out of people! PEOPLE!"
Imagin the guy from full metal alchemist saying that phrase.^^
Now would it be Ed or Al? Both would be interesting.

Imagine the original voice of Kyo from Fruits Basket saying that :) Like anything he says, it'd be so pissy it'd be cute and destroy the story's disturbing premise!
"THEY'RE ALL GONNA LAUGH AT YOU!"

I'm not a harry potter fanboy, but still... I think that harry potter is something that be potentially great if made into an anime. You can do soooo much more with anime than you can with human acting, cause art has VERY few limits, while human acting has many. Plus, you won't have to worry about your drawings aging, growing facial hair and zits, and having a voice change.

Yes, I'd love to see Harry Potter as an anime.

Also, I think some other of Dianna Wynne Jones' books would make good animes but I wouldn't want them to be done by Studio Ghibli or Miyazaki as I really didn't like what they did with Howl's Moving Castle :(

I could actually see this happening.
Why, because so many anime films out there are abstract, nonsensical, and have no real endings? (I say this as a Gaiman fan, too)
I have no idea how to use this new forum.

I believe the Nicholas Seafort saga would make an excellent anime. The dark moody feeling would work well in an anime. Throw in some music by Yoko Kanno. Directing done by Shinichiro Watanabe and you'd probably have a very good anime.
