Banners

Hi, I'm new and don't know much about banners. They are fun, and I enjoy making them but need some more information. I submitted a few but still have questions.

1.How do you know if they were accepted?
2.I voted on some but they don't show up on my worthy ect. lists, why?
3.There are no new ones, why?

And any other info will help.

1. when they become accepted they will have a grey border around them

2. if you voted them worthy then they will stay on there untill their voting period is over and no longer.. after the 151 votes are taken then they will go away, and if they won they will go on the winners list

3. there are no new banners cause the admins havent approved any yet..

it will say something like pending vote, if its worthy it will be green and say worthy with the number of votes that made it worthy, if its unworthy it will say unworthy and the number of worthy votes it got..

you need what 91 worthy votes out of 151 to get a worthy banner...

If I wanted to make a banner, would I have to grab the AMV graphic from the main page, or is there a smarter way to get a hold of the image?

Also, if I wanted to link to a-m-v.org from my site, would I use a homemade banner, or is there an official banner made specifically for this purpose?

I believe that's the whole purpose of the banners -- I've never seen any one "official" banner.

Unfortunately, I'm no longer able to upload banners. I get to the page to browse for the banner, choose it and hit the button to upload, it will take 10 seconds and then reset the page. The banner is the correct size and is 18k jpg. Tried IE, Firefox and Mozilla. Any suggestions?

No, no, we're good.... I was just suffering from a stupid moment that lasted 2 weeks. File size WAS too large, I wasn't reading the Photoshop file size properly.

In all fairness, that link is really not very obvious at all; for a long time I didn't realize it was a link either. They really ought to have an equivalent link on the left side with all the others.
